Buy Second Hand Trampoline

A trampoline is a purchase that should be bought with much consideration. Because of the danger that can come with it, nothing should be overlooked. The first question to ask before buying a second hand trampoline is why the original owner is willing to sell the trampoline. If the reason is legitimate and has nothing to do with the quality, proceed to examining the rest of the trampoline. Make sure that all the springs are there, the mat is not too worn out or torn, and the frame has not rusted or oxidized. While it is not necessary to buy with the second hand trampoline, ask if it comes with an anchor or a cover for added safety and equipment protection. If too many parts are missing or damaged, it may make more sense to buy one new that might be a little more expensive but will last much longer. Compare the price of the second hand trampoline to what it would cost to buy one brand new. If the used one saves you 50 percent, the deal is good. If you will only save 30 percent or less, buy a new one.

Used Trampolines

Buying a used trampoline should always come with some caution. Think about the shape you are about to purchase. If the trampoline is round it is primarily used for backyards because it is designed to keep the jumper in the middle. If the trampoline is rectangular it may have been owned by a professional or competition gymnast. Rectangular trampolines have springs that are more flexible producing a higher bounce. The best mats are constructed of polypropylene material that gives a smooth, long lasting mat. Many are sewn with UV protected thread. If possible, find out what the trampoline is made of exactly. Also, look to see how many times the mat was stitched around the perimeter. Low end trampolines will have four, but the best will have as many as 11 rows of stitches. The better ones have protective webbing sewn on top of the stitching. Another important quality to look for is how much weight the trampoline can support.
