Trampoline Tricks
Learn Trampoline Tricks
A basic trick is the knee drop. Simply let your body fall forward, bending at the knees. Then spring back up and land on your feet. Add bounces before falling to your knees to get more height on the trick.
One of the easiest tricks to do on the trampoline is "Landing on the Back." Start with your hands at your sides as you stand in the center of the trampoline. Keeping your body straight and your head up, fall backwards. Be very careful not to twist your head as it hits the trampoline. Simply let it meet it naturally and you will bounce right back up to standing position. With practice you will be able to bounce higher and continuously.
Trampoline Tricks For The Intermediate
After learning the basic "Landing on the Back" trick, you can spice things up a bit. One way to do this is to land in a different position after bouncing back up. For example, try landing on your knees instead of your feet. Another way to differ a simple trick is to reverse the "Landing on the Back" trick. Right before you are about to fall backwards, turn your body half a turn and throw your arms out in front of you. Use them to brace yourself before you bounce back to standing or kneeling position.

Advanced Trampoline Tricks
After much practice and lessons in safety, you can move on to more advanced trampoline tricks. As you first try these tricks, have a spotter close by to help and protect. These tricks include flips and somersaults, both backwards and forwards. To learn to do a somersault flip on a trampoline begin by simply doing a somersault with full contact on the mat. Slowly add more bounce to the somersault so that your body can slowly learn how to react and position. Also, spins can be added to either. Do not attempt to do any advanced tricks until you are entirely confident in your abilities.
Another advanced trick begins with one of the simplest moves on the trampoline, the knee drop. Start with a full powered knee bounce to thrust yourself higher into the air. Keep your arms above your head and as you bounce into the air lean forward so that you turn and land in a handstand position on the trampoline before your feet fall back to the mat. With much practice you will eventually be able to do the entire trick without your hands touching the mat.
