Trampoline Equipment

Trampoline Equipment

The safety and quality of your trampoline are only as strong as your trampoline’s weakest part. To ensure maximum fun and safety, you can purchase some equipment. The most frequently sought after trampoline equipment includes: mats, shoes, socks, frames, safety nets, safety mats, springs and spring adjusters. Obtaining the right combination of these materials can help you to customize and maintain your trampoline. Once you have the right trampoline equipment, you won’t have to worry about it for a while. You also won’t have to worry about anyone hurting themselves on the trampoline with some precautions.

First, begin with the trampoline itself: the frame, mat and springs. When you are looking for trampoline equipment, inspect the materials. The trampoline frame and other parts shouldn’t be bent, rusty or damaged in any way. The frame is the support of the entire apparatus, and so your other materials are only as strong as this frame. As for your trampoline springs, you have to make sure that you have the correct area of mat to number of spring ratio. Charts exist on the Internet to aid you in finding this magic, but not elusive, number. If you think that you can just make sure that you have a ton of springs around your mat, this doesn’t help anything, since your springs have to be loose and varied enough to allow you to bounce. Injuries can occur just as often with too tight springs as well as too loose springs. In regards to your trampoline mat, just make sure that it has a high thread count so that it doesn’t rip. Also make sure that the shape corresponds to the shape and size of your frame. The frame should be large enough to both accommodate the springs and mat.

Trampoline Safety Equipment

As for trampoline safety equipment, different features exist such as padding and a safety cage or net. Even if you have the best equipment, one of the best ways to prevent an accident from happening is to routinely check your materials. For your trampoline pads, you should make sure that they are made out of a strong material, preferably vinyl or PVC, that is waterproof. The inside should be of a soft, cushiony foam. A variety of safety nets and cages exist, even though injury by falling off a trampoline is less common than getting hurt on the frame, springs or by simply jumping wrong.
