Problems With Mini Trampolines
Despite all the many advantages to mini trampolines, it also comes with some disadvantages. It should not be used by someone with a weak bladder or weak pelvic floor muscles because in the long run it can cause more pain and damage. Another disadvantage is exclusively for women. A good bra is needed. Try out the trampoline before you buy it. Lastly, you must know your own capabilities. If balance is not your strong point, then you may want to consider a different form of exercise. Another option is to buy a support bar to hold on to while you jump.
How To Use A Mini Trampoline
Just like with a normal sized trampoline, there are different moves that can be performed. The basic bounce is the first trick you should master. Stand in the middle of the trampoline with your legs spread slightly. This is the basic stance for all exercises on the mini trampoline. Bounce lightly without even picking up your feet. As you become comfortable with this, add more bounce to it to raise yourself. If needed, steady yourself with a pole or support bar. The warm up and cool down bounce is the basic walk. Starting from the basic stance alternately lift your heels but do not lift your toes from the mat. Swing your arms at your side as if in a walking motion. The basic job is much like the walk except with greater power. Lift your legs and swing your arms faster. This is increases your heart rate. A more advanced move is the heel-toe bounce. Begin by doing a basic bounce but then bring your foot forward and touch your heel to the surface upon landing. Raise the same arm in front of you as your heel makes contact. Then repeat this action with the opposite arm and leg. The jumping jack bounce is another advanced move that increases your heart rate. It is the same as doing a jumping jack on solid ground but because it is on the mini trampoline it is easier on the joints.
