Backflip Trampoline

Backflip On A Trampoline

Before attempting to backflip on a trampoline make sure that you have permission of a parent or that someone is nearby to help you if needed. If a backflip is not properly performed it can result in head or spinal injury, so once you decide to do it you must complete it entirely and not stop halfway through. Another important thing to consider is that you consistently land in the same place. You may want to do some practice jumps, without flipping, to practice landing in the same place every time. When you are ready to attempt the backflip make sure that you jump as high as you can on the trampoline. The goal is to get the maximum amount of height possible. Once in the air you should lift you knees and tuck them under your arms. You want to keep your legs tucked as tight as possible. Then start to lean back so that your knee's come over your head and you begin to turn in the air. One complete rotation should be completed before you land on the trampoline. Movement should be kept to a minimum as much as possible. You should land in exactly the same spot as you began.

Double Backflip On A Trampoline

Attempting a double backflip on a trampoline is very risky and can result in serious injury, even death, if not performed correctly. Even more height is needed for the double backflip because two rotations of the body require a good amount of height away from the mat of the trampoline. Before attempting the double backflip it is a good idea to see how much height you can get from jumping up and down on the trampoline. The rules for performing a successful double backflip are the same as for performing a single backflip. However, the rotations need to be faster in order to ensure that you will land on your feet. If you stop or slow down the rotation, then you risk suffering serious injury to yourself. The tuck on the second rotation should be even tighter than the one on the first. So that if you happen to land on your neck or head the chances of injury become substantially less. Minor holes in the mat can often be repair by the owner, but if the hole is more than an inch in diameter, then the mat will have to be sent to company that specializes in mat repair. This will mean that your trampoline will be out of action for more than a couple of weeks. More importantly, there are serious safety issues related to purchasing a sub-standard, cheap, trampoline. The cost of any injury resulting from trampoline use far outweighs any savings to your pocketbook.
